Hello, my name is Jemma, and I am the owner and founder of The Canny Pet Club. 
I am here to help you and all of your pets live a happy and healthy life. I offer exciting, structured walks, adventures and pet drop ins. I pride myself on delivering services that are tailored to fit each pet and their individual needs, whilst being reliable, passionate and trustworthy, to help you in anyway that I can.

I have been surrounded by animals all of my life and knew that is what I wanted to do in the future. I was brought up on a farm in Suffolk, and had many pets, from Barn Owls, Harris Hawks, Ferrets, Budgies, Dogs and Cats, to name a few. I have five pets of my own, Dodger who is 10, Boo who is 3 and our new edition Fergus who is nearly 6 months old. I also have two budgies called Biggie and Buffy. Dodger is a Patterdale Terrier, Boo is a Patterpoo and Fergus is a Border Terrier. Dodger loves walks and food and is always there by our side, we have had Dodger in our home since he was a puppy and he certainly doesn’t act his age. However, my business dream was driven forward when we got Boo as a puppy, it later unfolded that she was reactive to humans, dogs and anything that moved or made a noise, she is severely anxious and had two dislocated knees. Since we learned about this, we have not stopped trying to help her in every way possible. We have trained her every day, learned all about her behaviour, recognised her triggers and have thought of so many different solutions, there isn’t one thing we haven’t tried. Through this I have developed a passion for helping animals and understanding them and how they act, which has led me to do many animal courses such as Dog Behaviour. I believe there should be help and support out there for animals who struggle a little more than others. Through having Boo in our lives we realised how difficult it was to find help, support and how isolating it could be, and I want to provide a service for people who may need help also. Boo has since had both knees operated on and I have trained her to a point that I can now walk her in public, in places that she is comfortable, which we never thought possible.

My dream is becoming a reality due to all of the support I have received from customers so far, and I cannot wait to see what the future brings!
